Everyone can 'Inspire India'

A whole lot of space is available for everyone to inspire India

Link gives a short intro about “Inspire India”.

Similar kind of organising and implementing a library is far easier than we think and yes, you can believe me, I am telling this out of our experience. If your organisation has employees just above 40 then it’s much easier task.

Just mail them about the idea of setting up a library for orphanages and you can be very sure most will respond positively. After getting the final ‘yes’ you can start the next step

Fund Collection:

Set Rs.200 per head which would sum as Rs.8000 and online transfer is an easier option and you could ask your members to do so. With the collected amount we just need to purchase books, a shelf, snacks to distribute during inauguration event.

Inspire India Members with Bala Ashramam members and Children
Orphanage Selection:

Go through the internet and search for orphanages and get the contact number, dial and ask for an appointment and visit in person and explain your plan then ask their need like no. of books, types of books, whether they need rack\shelf and what type of rack. Fix a date for inauguration and confirm every needed thing with them.
Within two days an orphanage can be finalised.

Book Purchase:

A minimum of 150 or 200 books are quite necessary to set up a library.
Allocate Rs.3000 for purchasing book.
It’s not necessary that you always need to buy first hand or fresh books. You can also go for second hand or used books which look or you feel the book is quite readable\usable. Second hand books purchases are good at Moore market and Luz corner. You can get all kind of books @ half the rate or to the maximum 75% of the original rate and bargaining comes in as effective tool.

New books can be purchased in T.Nagar book shops or else to get discounted books you can visit publishers (http://tamilelibrary.org/teli/bkpubls.html) directly and can demand more discount by telling them about your library plan and you will get discount for sure. Even online purchases can be made.
It just takes one evening. Two members to LUZ and two members to Moore Market

Shelf\Rack\Bureau:

A wood shelf just cost Rs.3000 to Rs.4000 and T.Nagar shops are best bet. In case if the orphanage is located far away from T.Nagar then any shops near to the orphanages is preferable as this will reduce the transport charges.
It also needs just an evening to spend.

Labelling: (if needed)

Categorising and labelling the books are the essence of any library. It simple categorise the purchased books and segregate with the type of book sans language. Ex: Birbal, Thenali Raman, Mullah, Shakespeare comes under Stories; Bhaghavath Gita, Bible, Quran comes under Devotional.
Add Serial no., Book Name, Language and Category and labelling done.
It just needs a day.

Library  at Bala Ashramam, Chrompet
Inauguration:

Invite your members and try assembling everyone on the fixed date with the orphanage. Get a chief guest like your Teacher, Professor, Team Manager to cut the ribbon. After setting up the rack with books tie the ribbon around and ask the chief guest to open the library. Now distribute the snacks like chocolates, mixtures, biscuits, etc., to the children and just give a small talk and if possible interact with them all.

Library for an orphanage is done successfully

Plagiarism

The moment we see the word plagiarism things arouse in our mind are songs copied, films copied, books copied, articles copied. Yes many things are copied from good stuff and we if we start listing then list would take much time to read. We enjoy reading such stuff and mock those around with our friends and on our social networking sites. It’s a real fun we use to have.

We accuse, criticise, scold, get angry and complain about people involved in plagiarism. Well they deserve such kind of treatments from the society. But aren’t we missing something that by pointing our fingers on someone we forget ours many a times. Aren’t we enacting much stuff from others like speaking, walking, dressing style? Even the way we are living, learning, eating habits, etc., are in some way reflects some familiar things.

Knowingly or unknowingly in today’s scenario many use words like F**K, S**K, SH*T and use to react OH! My GOD!, What the F**K and our body language, pronunciation or false accent, brand shirts, shoes, watches, hair style, make-ups are copied from outside world.  We learned about these kind of usage are definitely from media like film, social network, TVs, radios.

We pronounce who copies TV shows, films music, and stories as plagiarist but a plagiarist terms his action as inspirational and we call our actions as influential. It’s always our mentality we use to point others for any wrong happenings and we sit pretty cool that only they are like that and we aren’t like them. So is with politics too that only politicians are to blame for whatever happens in the society and it’s not WE the reason

Versions vX.0

We are surrounded by products more than people in every place we visit. If any work which man needs to do repeatedly then inventors jump in and create a new product and it immediately hits the market for the use. People too are too enthusiastic to buy such products and many waits outside the shop for whole night before the launch day to get the product, many reserve the product online.

Yes it shows the product’s usefulness and benefits. This reduces the user’s time, money & energy to great extent. At the same time an amateurish question arises that is such products worth the money we give to buy? Okay lets be amateurish and could think about some other possible questions.

First we could ask are we being tested?. Then secondly does products are service motivated or money? Now consider any product, mean to say furniture, detergents, mobiles, paste, etc., which we are using today, surely would have its previous versions. For sure, before buying this latest product, we could have seen advertisements for such products from any sort of media like, TVs, Radio, magazines, internet and they definitely would have claimed it to be “Now with more improved performance, improved quality, improved speed” than its previous versions.

Aren’t they contradicting with their own claims with every new version releases? In case of smart phones they use advertise “Now with more 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 5 megapixel camera” for their initial versions and they claim it would work fast. But when once after they are ready with another version they use claim again “Now with 1.4 GHz processor, 1 GB Ram, 8 Megapixel cameras and it would work faster”. This kind of claiming happens with every new releases of their product. So arise the question isn’t it contradicting and by somehow they themselves lower their previous version of product which once been told by themselves as effective.

Like mobile we could see this kind of marketing in media for all products in which they themselves dump and the customers to get their new version and after some months this latest version be asked to dumped for their new version. And customers too welcome such versions whole heartedly. Inventors find a new product or an alternative to existing product and they immediately release to the market. The enthusiastic customers spend as much as they could to buy the product. Now the product releasing company sells the product and make millions and billions as profit. After some months they release their new or upgraded version to the market and again the enthusiastic ones buy and company makes billions as profit and this happens as routine. With every release they make millions and millions.

An amateurish question could be asked that why they release a low power, low speed, low capacity first release as v1.0 and later more power, speed, more capacity V2.0 and so on versions? Why they shouldn’t release the well made, well developed, perfect speed product in their first version v1.0 release itself? Why they bring any product to market immediately? They can take their own time of months or even years to develop a fine tuned product and then release? So a question asked is product money motivated? They tend to make money and money alone with every version of product and make people to buy with their marketing tag line “newly designed, improved quality, more speed”. This makes us to think are we being tested with version and to improve their product’s quality and their personal wealth?

If this is possible then customers too should demand for such high end product as first release itself. But as usual we are going to be ‘We’ and we will not let others do and we will bring our children the same way.

Inspirational - Influential

We, Indians, talk majorly, and in common, about three things Cricket, Politics & Films. These things become quite essential in almost every one’s day today activities. People read, view, discuss about these things through paper, TVs, internet, forums, etc.,

Films in India have now 100 years of history but we are not diving deep into its formation and growth and we are not into films technicalities at all. It’s about people who watch and certain people who create movies.

Already we are influenced and getting influenced daily by western way of living and thinking and we are trying to exhibit such behaviours and attitudes by all means. Films too had a huge impact and here films are inclusive of music (songs) too.

There are quite a lot of directors who have created movies which showed/showing stories and characters in Tamilian way. Story use to revolve around local places and characters react native. But off late we have offered tamil -ised stories and characters whose reactions and plot to some extent resembled western kind.

Though the influences from west side have started since independence it started spreading by late 80s’ and grown highly after 90s’, when globalisation introduced in India. Many Hollywood films have inspired our major/ top directors and it in turn have inspired our major/top audience and it made them look and feel sophisticated/ upper class/ logical/ no non-sense, orthodox, et al, if they end to watch inspired movies.

If one tends to watch local content films the he wouldn’t be called as sophisticated/ orthodox. So we could see divisions as A, B, C centre films or mall films or commercial films or art films or mass movies. We tend to celebrate, praise, and support, for long period, the directors who create movies with western influence or inspiration. And a director who creates movies with local inspiration tends to rated less than so called sophisticated directors.

Godfather is one movie which influenced many more directors not only in India but worldwide. It had its Indian versions in the name of Nayagan, Devarmagan, Sarkar I & II. Among these films Nayagan is the first of the series which even had many scenes replicated but Devarmagan tooks its essence and tamilised aptly and so with Sarkar too. After Nayagan in tamil cinema the new trend started in good way and it also showed the way for many directors to get influenced by Hollywood movies and remake it here without any rights. And today the directors who haven’t followed that trend made their way out on their own.

This influential has made some good directors too. Movies like Sethu, Pithmagan, Kadal, Paruthiveeran, Subramaniapuram, Kalavani with local content and flavour turned many heads and towards native film making idea. But still why is that many of us awaits the sophisticated directors’s films? Just because we too will be called as sophisticated persons? Or to just show off that we are not non-sense and we will watch movies with only logical stuff? To let others know that we are classy people?

But everything said we have to accept that we need to react to the current world situations.

Does God wants or People?

There are quite a lot of holy books which claims that the Supreme Being wants everyone to follow certain procedural or non procedural things with a uniformity or non-uniformity.

But are those things are really wanted by GOD or the people.

Every holy book claims one to be good over other one – Is this wanted by GOD or humans?

To help others, respect others, entertain others, and educate others - does all these things needed by GOD or humans?

It is humans who wants all these and tries to achieve it in the name of GOD.

Felt or Instigated ???

Existence of GOD has been discussed quite a lot of time by all and it would have ended with no conclusion at all every time. So let us think about how and what people think about GOD. GOD is the one who saves us from danger times, gives food, rain, making us clear the exams, awards a job, gives a good spouse, et al., and is the perception by almost all of the GOD believers.

There are many GODs but everyone has their own GOD. Let us give a thought about what is their GOD and how they believe and follow that GOD.

In this Universe one believes a thing by seeing, hearing, touching or simply by means of any of the senses one possess.  Then each get their own kind of sense, touch, taste, perception, etc.,.  Does this kindly of sensing or feeling by every individual is applicable for feeling the GOD too? I don’t think so.

Because I always feel things should always be felt, through heart, by ourselves. Does everyone felt GOD by themselves? Does their feeling about GOD is theirs own?
If anyone says YES, then can I have another question - What is the GOD you felt and if your reply would be the so and so GOD then I may ask is your parents too believe in the same GOD or else do you belong to the religion, of your parents, by birth? If YES then can I ask how come you are feeling the same GOD as like your parents’ or your religion’s?

Isn’t it showing that one is not feeling GOD but it’s been instigated? Instigated by parents, family members, religions, surroundings, etc., U feel the same GOD as your parents and you follow the same procedures to woo the GOD and you are getting the results for your prayers, correct?

The real feeling of GOD would be the GOD with no name, no image, no religion, no procedural practices, no holy books, no special devotional places and no requests to Him. Have you ever felt this way the GOD? If not so then you are praying the GOD created by you and not praying the GOD who created you.

Ponniyin Selvan !!!!!!!

I am never a book\novel\story reader though an ardent reader of other things. Still decided to start reading Ponniyin Selvan, which is a ‘five parts long series’ and almost 2000 pages of content. And have to say I have never read any other stuff as interesting as this which is surely a fast page turner with unimaginable twists and plot. Have to tell its Kalki’s narration which made this more interesting one to read for long hours continuously.

Vandhiyadevan, Poonguzhali, Kunthavai, Vaanthi, Manimegalai, Pazhuvetarayar, Nandhini, Kandha Maran, Madhuranthagan, Aazhvarkadiyan, Aditya Karikalan, Sundhara Chozhar, Ravidasan and most importantly ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ Rajaraja Chozhan are some well etched characters portrayed.

You will never feel bored or to close the book if you start reading this once moreover a great insight about Chozhas’ history will be unrevealed as Kalki had quoted some historic references researched by him for writing this novel. The story may happens some hundred years back but the thrill, suspense, unrevealing the plots and the way it’s been written will make you wonder. Narrating events which takes place at different places at same time and the interlinking it has and the cause and effect of such events, Wow!!! One can’t stop praising Kalki’s writing skills. Feeling happier that I have read this before making it in celluloid and filmmakers are finding really tough to adopt this into big screen.

Never have a feel that the book will take more time to read, I assure you can finish it off very quickly and you too will feel its awesomeness!!!!!!!!
For more post reading talks & analysis you could go through the site: http://ponniyinselvan.in/

Inspire India

Inspire India is a team, comprising of private company employees as members, formed for a social cause. It has been formed with the aim of helping the needy and mainly focusing on orphanages for children and old age people.
After giving a quite a lot of thoughts the team zeroed in on setting up libraries – “Puthaga Poonga”. Puthaga Poonga containing books with GK, Biographies, History, Encyclopaedias, Quiz & Puzzles, Dictionaries, English grammar, Devotional, Moral stories, Yoga, Law, Story collections, etc in both English and Tamil. All the books been neatly labelled, numbered, segregated, categorised and even bind if necessary. The team also provides bureau/shelf/rack if the orphanage doesn’t has it.
Library @ KKSS, Mogapair
Fourth Project, KKSS, Mogapair West

Why libraries? Every orphanage receive a standard fund from certain NGOs, helping groups, individuals, teams on monthly basis and there are groups which solely provides dress, academic books, stationeries, food and not majority of people provide libraries so we have decided to go for it and moreover providing clothes or stationeries lasts for less period of time but libraries works over all period of time like Valluvar said
“ஒருமைக்கன் தான் கற்ற கல்வி ஒருவர்க்கு
எழுமையும் ஏமாப்புடைத்து
[The joy of learning in one birth
Exalts man up to his seventh]
Until now we have completed six projects at
  • Uthavum Ullam, Tambaram
  • Bala Ashramam, Chrompet,
  • Jeevanadi, Kodambakkam,
  • Kalaiselvi Karunalaya Social Welfare Society, Mogappair West
  • Annal Children's Home, Velacherry
  • Bharathiyar Gurukulam, Trichy

Second Project, Chrompet
Bala Ashram, Second Project, Chrompet

We are in the process of starting our next project and we hope we will continue to do many projects in the coming years with heartfelt support from our team members and orphanages.

Superstar !!!!!!!!

Superstar, an ultimate position given to an actor who is peaking with huge fan following and box-office collection. So everyone tries to scale such heights but with mindset that if they ape the current superstar they too will, a day, become Superstar. Is one supposed to do so? If one needs to be followed then the one should “Lead” not follow the predecessor. People would start showing negative symptoms if one tries to ape their idol star and simply would say “Oh! Ivaru periya Superstar?” Hence if one tries to become a Superstar then he should be himself first of all and should possess unique qualities which are quite inspirational to others.

Similarly Superpower - the term which is used to define the big brother among all the countries? And our own INDIA has such ambitions and in current scenario, it even competes with another developing nation CHINA. And let us think about INDIA’s ways to becoming Superpower. Is it still holds relevance that INDIA believes in its culture and heritage? Is it still having the same identity as it use to have some years back? Does INDIA have its own good unique and inspirational leadership qualities?
The changing face of INDIA is reflecting westerners quite a lot than showing its original face and uniqueness. Right from attire, attitude, speech, media, infrastructure, commuting, communicating, etc., reflects the foreign advancements. People started aping the alien point of view in every aspect leaving behind, or not looking to enhance, their own abilities. The rising malls, Restaurant & Food chains, Brand attire stores, etc., are highly visible and reflects foreign aspects especially USA the most. USA, the Big brother or Superpower, has spread its wings in almost all the nations for the recent many decades. Even people from various countries started migrating to US and INDIANS too are no exception.

And now comparing the Superstar and superstar-to-be with Superpower and Superpower-to-be would definitely shows that our INDIA is trying to ape the current Superpower. If INDIA tends to follow all aspects of US and would it think that it is also a Superpower and a brand new Leader of the world nations? I don’t think so. INDIA is not like US to have common factors starting from language, demography, natural resource, climatic conditions, etc., but is has its unique University in Diversity from the all above said aspects.

Following others will always be called as followers and not as Leaders. Hope INDIA will become Superstar a day.

Religion - GOD? Religions - GODS???

Does GOD exist??? (Question - Out of syllabus). It’s highly OK that GOD prevails and ubiquitous.

GOD - The one who is the reason behind all of us and ours Action(A), Being(B), Catastrophe(C), Disbelief(D), etc.,

Religion - The interpreter and implementer of GOD's ABCDs, usually with book(s) and sculptures.
Ok, let’s come to the current world scenario where it is “GODs” not GOD and “Religions” not Religion. So obviously each GOD has His own ABCDs and each Religion has its own books, sculptures, etc., and now the books have defined set of rules or guidelines. If one follows and practices the book then the one automatically belongs to the religion. The ardent follower completely places the faith on GOD henceforth starts praying and becomes a religionist. Followers starts believing what they are doing is correct and right and all good happens because of their prayers, requests, offerings, etc.,
So one religious belief and followings is denied by other religion's person but still everyone tends to believe what they are following is the right one. And they think their peers too are happy because of their prayers to their own GOD and other religions pals are not doing the right thing hence they may suffer in future or be in Hell rather than Heaven.

Third Umpire inference:
Is the above said things are true that other religion people are not following the correct path which may leads to suffer are they are not living the right, healthy and peaceful life?
Obviously, a big NO!!!

Because in current scenario all religion people are living the same life as other religion. To justify this statement you can see with your naked eyes that in every religion every category of or every class of people's living.
  • Every religion has upper class, middle class and lower end
  • Every religion has people with upper and lower thoughts
  • Every religion has talent ‘utilisers’ and ‘non-utilisers ‘
  • Every religion has literate, semiliterate and nonliterate
  • Every religion has benevolent and non-benevolent
So every religion has The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Can anyone deny this???

And is it correct that the thought of one religion person that their religion people alone are happy, fortunate and other religion followers are not so???

Every religion has people and people alone and people behave like people so we can see the divide in the society like upper, middle, lower or good, bad, ugly. We need to accept this fact first then we can think of GOD and Religion
